Is it better to use Facebook than Instagram? I’ve been using Facebook and Instagram for
quite a long time. I noticed that there are many similarities as well as differences. I’ll be telling
some of those in this essay.
Facebook and Instagram have many similarities. Both Facebook and Instagram allow you
to follow or block people. You can follow your friends, families, or even celebrities if you want
to. After following them, you will be able to see their posts on your home page. You can also block
people if you want to. Once you block them, they can no longer see your posts or follow you.
Both Facebook and Instagram can be used for businesses. You can open online shops or
promote your shops in both Facebook and Instagram. Nowadays, many people choose to buy
things online rather than buying it in a store because it’s a lot easier.
The last similarity is that both Facebook and Instagram let users like or comment on posts,
tag people, and add location in a post. You can press the ‘like’ button in Facebook and press the
‘heart’ symbol in Instagram if you like the posts. You can comment on the posts to give your
opinions about the posts or pictures. If you post a picture and your friends are in it, you can tag
them on the picture. You can also include location in the post to show where you’d been, or where
the picture was taken.
Facebook and Instagram also have great differences. One of the differences is about games.
In Facebook, there are thousands of games you can choose to play, while in Instagram there are
no games to play. The games that you can play in Facebook are Coco Girl, Kitchen Scramble,
Candy Crush, Dragon City, Agar.io, Piano Tiles, etc. Most of the games are free and easy to use.
Facebook can be used to post pictures, share your thoughts, and chat. It is available to use
in mobile devices, or computers. While on Instagram, you can only post pictures and have
conversations in mobile devices, not in computers. You can open Instagram on computers or
laptops but you can only see your friends’ posts and like or comment on it. You can’t post pictures
or chat in Instagram when you open it on computers or laptops.
In Facebook, you can post your thoughts, experiences, and feelings with only texts, not
always with pictures, but in Instagram you can’t post something without a picture. You must post
with a picture on Instagram.
The last difference is that Facebook allows us to post more than one picture in one post,
while we can only post one picture at once on Instagram. You can post more than 30 pictures in
one post on Facebook.
Both of these social-networking sites are easy and fun to use. Instagram is an online mobile
photo-sharing, video-sharing and social networking service. Instagram is more in ‘posting pictures
and videos’. Facebook is a social networking site, sharing pictures is one of its features, but not
the main one. So if you like posting pictures more, I recommend you to use Instagram. But if you
want to chat and share ideas with your friends, I think it’s better to use Facebook.
